Southern Technology Partners is an active E-Rate participant. We help Georgia schools and libraries plan and install eligible infrastructure, from internet access to internal Wi-Fi and switching, so federal funding goes further.
From the internet connection to the classroom
E-Rate covers two broad categories. Category 1 is getting the internet to your building. Category 2 is getting it to every classroom and reading room through internal Wi-Fi and switching. We plan and install eligible infrastructure in both categories, and because we also do structured cabling and managed IT, the design holds together once it is installed.
Keeping up with a changing program
The E-Rate program is under review. The FCC has asked whether E-Rate should be narrowed or limited to rural areas, and that question matters for South Georgia, where whether a school counts as rural can depend on its census block. We follow these changes and help schools and libraries understand what they mean for their own applications, from EPC profiles to invoicing and Form 486 deadlines.
